Summary
Currently, Matt serves as Senior Partner and he operates his practice from Dallas, Texas. He has over a decade of experience helping his clients develop and execute successful financial plans.
His practice focuses on planning for individuals, families and small business owners. Matt has developed specific expertise in the areas of Retirement Income Planning, Investment Management, Asset Protection and Tax Efficient Wealth Transfer.
In addition to serving his personal clients, Matt works as a professional coach and mentor to Legacy Partners and Affiliated Advisors in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. He works with over a dozen Legacy Offices to assist other advisors build and improve their practices.
Matt is also a member of Legacy Investment Services, Inc. Board of Directors.

In 2010, Matt was elected to serve on Woodbury’s “Rep Advisory Board” and he co-chairs the Investment Policy Sub Committee. He is a three-time “Eagle Circle” award winner signifying top production at Woodbury Financial Services, Inc. (Legacy’s Broker-Dealer Partner). He is a member of Hartford Life’s “Captains Circle” for outstanding production achievement. Matt has written many articles for Avid Living Magazine as its Financial Columnist. He has also appeared as a guest on the Dan Steele Radio Show on the Biz Radio Network.

Education and Training
Matt has earned and maintains a full complement of securities and insurance licenses. Specifically, he maintains a Series 7, Series 65, Series 63 and Series 6 securities registrations in all the states in which he and his partners conduct business. Also, he maintains a life and health insurance license. In addition to completing all required Continuing Educational Requirements, Matt participates in many elective educational symposiums and events in an effort to grow professionally. He also maintains a relationship with various professional coaches to focus on improving his skills. Matt is a 1983 graduate of Illinois State University with a BS in Business Finance.
Community Involvement
Matt has been an active member of the Farmer Branch Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a board member and volunteer for the “Alpha Wellness Foundation”, a non-profit organization designed to help low income individuals with critical and wellness care. Matt has served the Irving, Texas YMCA as basketball coach for seven seasons. He founded “Practice Builders”, a local professional networking organization.
Personal
Outside of the office, Matt likes to focus his time on his family and friends. He is blessed with his loving wife, Lauren, and two sons, Nick and Nate. “I know how fortunate I am!” “From my parents, to my brother, to my wife and children and beyond, my family is everything to me.” “I make a special effort to give back by leading a balanced and spiritual life.”
He enjoys watching and playing most sports, particularly golf and college football. Matt likes politics, philosophy, self improvement, reading, gardening, good food and pursuing fitness.
