An independent broker specializing in insurance, estate and retirement planning strategies, David Goodrich has been serving individuals and small businesses throughout Texas for nearly 18 years. By focusing on tax saving strategies and investment management, David and the other professionals of Legacy Investment Services are dedicated to helping their clients reach their full financial potential.
Prior to founding Goodrich Financial Services in 2000 (and partnering with Legacy Investment Services in 2011), David began his career as a Registered Representative with The Principal Financial Group, a Fortune 500 company. In his tenure with The Principal, David excelled in the small business market by focusing primarily on specialized retirement, insurance and benefit solutions for business owners and key executives. Through his career, David has employed his core strategies of succession planning, executive benefit solutions and business protection planning to ensure that the business owners’ exit strategy is a solid “retirement plan”.

David has earned numerous industry awards, including Top New Agent of the Year 1998 with Principal Financial Group, 5-time Zenith and 8-time Eagle qualifier with Woodbury Financial Services, and Lifetime Member qualifier of Million Dollar Round Table*, a distinction reserved for the top insurance and financial professionals worldwide. Currently, David belongs to the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Texas Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (TAIFA) and the Financial Services Institute (FSI).
In addition to the numerous industry associations that David is involved in, he also devotes time to the community. He is the Co-Founder, Past President and current Board Member of the Dallas Round Table; Board Member of Canyon Creek Country Club Men’s Tennis Association; Board of Governors for Canyon Creek County Club, member of the Leadership Richardson Alumni Association; and, dedicates much of his time coaching his children's sports teams.

David received his Bachelors in Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Management, from the University of North Texas and has since attained a professional designation of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). David is a registered representative and Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) of Woodbury Financial Services and holds a Group 1 and Series 6, 22,62,63 and 65 licenses.
David resides in Richardson, TX with his wife, Charlotte and two children Sheridan and Gavin.
